Psalm 84

(Verse 1) You weren’t a shadow, You weren’t a dream You were the silence between the heartbeats of the King Before the dust was gathered, before the womb was formed You were the Breath in the Bosom, catching the Father’s gaze Held in the lungs of the Eternal, a secret kept so deep The Breath of the Almighty was the promise You would keep. (Verse 2) You have never spent a second outside of the Father You are the breath within the lungs of the Eternal He spoke your name and He gave you the View From the Porch of the Altar, the spirit's native space And the Highway to Zion is the hum in your chest Carved in your heart, the place of your rest. (The Chorus - The Chant) I am the echo, You are the Sound In You I’m hidden, in You I’m found There is no "Me" that is not "Us" Beyond the limits, beyond the dust. (Verse 3) Even the sparrow knows where the Altar is found A nest for her young on the holy, hallowed ground Your soul has a memory of the hands that knit the bone A pulse in the blood that recognizes Home You aren't a pilgrim looking for a destination track You are the Exhale that He is breathing back. (The Bridge) It’s not a distance, it’s the Word He’s speaking You are the Song that He’s always sung The Breath is returning, the Gaze is unchanging The Word is still speaking, and we are one.
