Lyrics
The Breaker
Verse 1
I spent my life in a narrow frame
A dark alleyway, a survivor’s game
Begging for a spark, crying out for rain
But the desert was a ghost, and the distance was a chain.
Then the Lamb spoke a Word, and the silence broke
The heavy iron hinges of the religion spoke
They fell to the floor, and I finally woke
To the Light that was always mine.
Chorus
The Breaker is flipped, the lights are on
The night is a memory, the alley is gone
I am a City, Galactic and wide
Infinite space with the Maker inside.
No need for the sun, no need for the moon
The Lamb is the voltage, the Spirit the tune
I’m not getting ready, I’m not standing by
I am the Glory, I am the City of Light.
Verse 2
I looked at my history and I saw a ruin
But You looked at my spirit and saw a communion
My trauma was a tarp, but the power was flowing
My beliefs were a roadblock, but the city was growing.
Now I’m tracing the wires of the eternal space
Every corner of my soul is a sanctuary place
I don’t visit the Presence, I inhabit the Grace
It’s the only air I breathe.
Bridge
The gates are off. The distance is dead.
The Lamb is the Light. Just like He said.
I AM THE CITY!
I AM THE LIGHT!
THE BREAKER IS FLIPPED!
THE BREAKER IS FLIPPED!
Outro
It’s finished.
The power is on.
The city is open.
